Tasked with creating a modern evolution of the SMITE style to define SMITE2 for the next generation of gamers.

Landing on the theme Moments of Mayhem, we wanted an intimate, up close and personal view of 3 gods at the peak of their divine power. To showcase the improved graphics of Smite2, we combined 2D illustration techniques with 3D character models for a familiar but modernized look. We wanted to say, “SMITE, but new and improved. Bigger, bolder, and strictly better”.

Maintaining the SMITE2 style we created, our next project was to build an action scene to highlight the MOBA aspects of SMITE2 using only our internal team.

We crafted this piece for in game and marketing purposes. Designed to be highly modular, each character and element is layered in such a way to be repurposed as much as possible.

Tasked with creating a high volume of temporary portrait art for SMITE2 to be used for various purposes.

We pioneered a new internal pipeline from scratch, going from sketches, to posing 3D models, and a final 2D refinement pass.

We were able to create a staggering amount of simple, versatile paintings in a remarkably short timeline leading up to SMITE2’s initial debut.
